Sweet Olive | Sacramento Newborn Portraits

Hi All - hope you had a beautiful Christmas and have something fun cooked up for New Years. I wanted to show you some pictures from a wonderful session I had with little Olive. She was a good eater (and therefore a good sleeper) and let us do just about everything we wanted to. 

And, to top it all off, Olive surprised us with quite a few smiles throughout the session. Mom told me that she loves the sound of her Daddy's voice and it was true -- every time he talked to her, she would smile, even when she was sleeping!

Remember her awesome mommy and daddy from their maternity session? 

Here's lovely Mia. She was sooo good and I couldn't get over her hair. Gorgeous.

 

And these rosebud lips...heaven.

 

 

Mia, I think it's pretty obvious that mom and dad love you...a lot. :-)

Okay, so this is a little off-topic, but when it comes to yummy food, I break all the rules. I was recently doing some food photography for a local restaurant - The Art of Food.  They are an all raw and vegan restaurant in north Sacramento and their food is TO. DIE. FOR.

And then a funny thing happened - a reporter from the Sac Bee showed up to take pictures of the place and I ended up with my mug in the article - check it out.

Dashing Through the Snow | Sacramento Child Portraits

When it snows, I automatically start thinking about pictures of little ones playing in the snow (and you might, too) so here's our "hit" for the week of cute kids in a winter wonderland.

We had about two seconds to take some pictures with the family...

 

and then...

It was all about snow ball fights!!!! 

 

Little bro wasn't too sure about the cold stuff, but we soon found a little cabin where he was much happier...

 

But brother not so much... ha ha - this shot makes me laugh every time.

We had just too much fun. Can't wait for the next adventure with these lovely people.

Playing in the Leaves | Folsom Family Photographer

There's something about kids playing in the leaves that is just magical. Needless to say, these guys had a ton of fun throwing the leaves around. I love this shot - especially her little hands, tossing the leaves with such enthusiasm!

 

You know I'm a sucker for these unguarded moments...

 

Between his baby blues and her smile, they could stop traffic!

Look at all of these beautiful smiles. You might remember the littlest one from his newborn session. He's so big now (with tons of smiles) and his older sister helps out a ton - lucky mom!

To Be Two | Sacramento Birthday Portraits

Little "R" was celebrating his b-day last week with all kinds of friends, a bounce-house, a pinata, three cakes, you name it! Everyone had tons of fun and I felt lucky to be there, surrounded by so many good people.
