More Frames

I have a new password-protected gallery of display ideas for my clients.  In this gallery you can view 25 different and inspiring ideas for how to display your portraits in various places in your home: nursery, stairway, living room, etc.  If you are a client, and you would like access to this gallery, just send me an email and I'll give you the password to view them.

One of the display ideas includes these crown moulding shelves.  Someone recently asked me where they could get them and I stumbled upon them ON SALE at Pottery Barn Kids.  They're great for any part of the house, but I think that they look particularly sweet in a nursery or child's room.

I've written about these before because I think they are so convenient.  The fronts of the frames pull down (like a mail slot) and you can change out the photos inside that easily.  I love how they've lined four sets up above the bed for a collage look.

Framing Your Photographs

So the photography session is over, you've done your ordering, and your portraits arrive -- it's so exciting; it's like Christmas all over again! And then it dawns on you...time to buy some frames...and how am I going to arrange them on the wall?!

I meet a lot of super busy moms (a.k.a super amazing moms) who want to have beautiful and creative framing arrangements in their homes. For all of you super-moms, here are some more framing ideas to make the job a little easier for you all.  

I just found out about a framing company that has a pretty great concept: sell the frames, hardware and display templates all in one package!  I love their slogan: "Out of the box and on your wall in minutes...perfectly!" Sounds like my kind of framing.  Check out some of their display ideas below. Their frames come in all different colors and types of wood.  Pretty fun and easy!

Creating a Photography Gallery in Your Home

I'm always looking for fun and new ideas for creatively framing and displaying family photographs.  Pottery Barn has some great concepts that show how to tell the story of your family through a mix of different frames and arrangements. 

Here's my latest favorite -- a display that "follows" the architectural details of your home.  You can easily add frames to this display over time as your family grows.

I often hear parents comment on the fact that they sometimes can't find the time to frame the latest images of their kids.  These easy frames display 8.5x11" photographs and can be opened to let you quickly change out the images and stay current.  They come in a variety of different colors, too.
