Little Beauty | Sacramento Modeling Photography

I've been photographing this little beauty since she was a newborn. She was stunning then and is stunning still and will likely give daddy something to worry about when she's a teenager...

But for now, it's modeling for her. I'm excited to see what lies in her bright future. 

   

Struck | Sacramento Child Portraits

I've been thinking about this session since the day I shot it and I couldn't wait to get some time away from shooting to start working some Photoshop magic on these images and now I can see why.  I'm completely struck by this little angel of a girl. 

This image has stolen my heart. I'm completely in love with it. I want to print it out and put it on MY wall!

 

She looks so sweet amongst the festive autumn berries (don't worry, she didn't eat any of them!).

We Made Lemonade | Sacramento Modeling Photographer

When life gives you lemons, make lemonade.  That's what I kept in mind as we drove out to who-knows-where based on some bizarre directions from a local. After driving around for what seemed like forever, searching for a particular barn (I'm still not sure whether it exists) and watching the sun disappear over the hills, we decided to just pull over and make the best of the 20 minutes of sunlight that we had left. Ruby was a rockstar. It was amazing what we got photographed in so little time.

Part of the deal for this shoot was that the guinea pig had to be in it...and how could I resist when it's name means "caramel"...a sweet so close to my heart. ;-)

An obliging white fence made for some beautiful shots.

I gotta say, it was a great 20 minutes.  Thanks for being such a professional, Ruby!

The results of a little late-season sunflower field hunting...sunny, lovely, perfect.

Mr. Handsome here was such a professional for his headshots.  From start to finish he was ready with his smiles and his oh-so-cool looks. He's almost five, but I felt like I was working with a teenager.  Thanks for being so much fun to work with, Brogan!

Sunshine Sisters | Sacramento Child Photography

These sisters were up for some fun in the city.  We went out in the late afternoon and found some really beautiful light.  It's like a treasure hunt sometimes, but you know it when you've got it!
