Ukulele Love | Sacramento Family Portraits

When these guys showed up with their "ukes" I was so excited. I love it when folks bring along something that's unique to them and that they can express their personalities through.

 

 

Dad is teaching his daughter how to play, so I got a little sample of their music and it's so beautiful. I could be a musician...yeah, in my dreams! BUT, if I ever took it up, it might be with a ukulele because their sound is pure heaven. I think I can almost hear his lulling voice through this picture...

 

It's always great to photograph these three.  I'm already looking forward to the next time!

We Made Lemonade | Sacramento Modeling Photographer

When life gives you lemons, make lemonade.  That's what I kept in mind as we drove out to who-knows-where based on some bizarre directions from a local. After driving around for what seemed like forever, searching for a particular barn (I'm still not sure whether it exists) and watching the sun disappear over the hills, we decided to just pull over and make the best of the 20 minutes of sunlight that we had left. Ruby was a rockstar. It was amazing what we got photographed in so little time.

Part of the deal for this shoot was that the guinea pig had to be in it...and how could I resist when it's name means "caramel"...a sweet so close to my heart. ;-)

An obliging white fence made for some beautiful shots.

I gotta say, it was a great 20 minutes.  Thanks for being such a professional, Ruby!

Got back late tonight after tromping around in the farmlands of Davis, chasing the sunset with lovely Ruby.  I have more to show you from the shoot, but wanted to share just one before I turned the lights out.

Pilates!

I'm not able to share all of my commercial photography jobs with you, but I do like to show you projects that involve children or pregnant mommies.
